Old Age, Widow & Destitute Women Pensions

Monthly pension support for old age, widow and destitute women from poor families as social security.

What the Scheme Does (Objective)

  • Gives monthly pension to old age, widow, and destitute women from poor families.
  • Helps women meet basic needs like food, medicine, and daily expenses.
  • Works as a regular income support for women with no other livelihood.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Old age women (above specified age, e.g. 60+) from poor families.
  • Widow women with no sufficient income or support.
  • Destitute women with no family support or livelihood.
  • As per income and age criteria fixed by the government.

Required Documents

  • Aadhaar card
  • Age proof (birth certificate / school record / voter ID / ration card, etc.)
  • Income certificate
  • Widow certificate / death certificate of husband (for widow pension)
  • Destitute certificate (if available / as asked by office)
  • Bank or post office account details
  • Passport‑size photographs

Important Notes & Guidelines

Guideline 1

This website does not process pension applications.

Guideline 2

Pension is credited to bank/post office account every month.

Guideline 3

If pension is delayed, stopped, or not received, contact the VAO/municipality/social welfare office with your pension PPO/order number.

Guideline 4

Keep your pension sanction order and bank passbook updated.

Where to Apply

This scheme operates strictly via offline physically filed submissions. Applications can be acquired and filed at the following nodal centers:

Village Administrative Officer (VAO) / Panchayat Office
Corporation / Municipality Office (Social Security / Pension section)
Taluk Office / District Social Welfare Office
Office Visit Advice: Always bring duplicates of your identity, address proofs, and recent photographs to avoid return trips.
