Ensuring that every family has reliable access to domestic electricity connections, lighting up homes and empowering children’s evening studies, safe refrigeration, and improved everyday living standards across Virudhunagar district.

Strategic Scope & Context

Access to electricity is a fundamental prerequisite for dignified living, education, and household productivity. Through dedicated district-level drives, 3,428+ new domestic power connections were sanctioned and connected across Virudhunagar district.

The initiative specifically targeted rural settlements, new habitations, and economically weaker households that had previously faced delays in power infrastructure and meter sanctioning.
